The Sheet Metal Foreman is responsible for managing all aspects of Commercial HVAC sheet metal installation and associated materials according to specifications and codes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Determine sequence of installations by reading plans and working drawings.
• Perform field take-offs and jobsite material inventories.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in the assembly and installation of sheet metal duct work for air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating units used in schools, commercial and industrial buildings.
• Complete and maintain work site paperwork to include, but not limited to, time off request forms, accident reports, material requisitions, RFI’s, T & M tickets, daily logs, SDS sheets, log books, daily time card verification, weekly job site inspection forms.
• Accountability for man hours and material costs.
• Work on elevated ground and maintaining balance when standing on restricted levels such as
  beams are also required skills.
• You must be able to work effectively and precisely while also contributing to a solid safety culture.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 4 Years vocational preparation acquired in school, work, military, institutional, or vocational environment.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising commercial sheet metal crews.
• Skills of pre-task planning and scheduling of manpower and material.
• Knowledge of SMACNA requirements and local and state codes.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Ability to write reports with proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Basic competence in sheet-metal mathematics.
• Team oriented with the ability to work well and communicate with others.
• Demonstrates willingness to accept responsibility and leadership role.
• Neat, professional appearance.
• Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record; clean criminal background.
• Must be able to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing, climbing and lifting at least 50lbs repetitively.
• Must be able to physically perform frequent ladder work.
• Must adhere to all OSHA and Page Mechanical safety policies and procedure.
